On Ilona Andrews...

Just over two days ago, I finished reading On the Edge by Ilona Andrews, the fantastic husband/wife writing duo Andrew & Ilona Gordon.

Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed it immensely. As a die-hard Kate Daniels fan (you can learn more at their website by clicking the link above), I wasn't sure whether I would like The Edge series or not. But...I did.

I was a bit disappointed to learn that each new installment involves a new set of characters (I was dying to learn more about Declan and Rose), but once you keep going, you can't help but love it.

Now, I'm well into Bayou Moon and just can't seem to put it down! I will admit that when I first picked up On the Edge, I got a little bogged down by the New World terminology the authors conjured for this particular series. They introduce a lot and I do mean A LOT of new ideas in this series and it takes a bit of concentration to fully comprehend what they are referring to.

BUT, once you get into the reading groove, the story slides right along. I'm really digging it.

As soon as I finish Bayou Moon, I have Fate's Edge standing by. I'm fully confident that I'll devour it as well :D

Fate's Edge was released November 29, 2011. If you like the Kate Daniels series, try on The Edge series for size. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
